Ghana Publishing Company launches online verification and bookshop services
The Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) has launched a new online verification system and e-bookshop to improve access to official government documents and combat fraud.
Managing Director Nana Kwasi Boatey announced the online verification tool in Accra, noting that it allows individuals and institutions to confirm the authenticity of government gazettes via their mobile devices. This initiative aims to prevent the use of fake documents in land transactions, business registrations, and legal matters, which previously required physical visits to GPCL offices for verification.
Additionally, the GPCL has introduced an online bookshop that allows the public to order Acts of Parliament, copies of the Constitution, and other official publications for delivery. This service is intended to reduce the time and transportation costs for citizens living outside the capital who previously had to travel to Accra to obtain genuine legal documents.
