Ghana seeks infrastructure investment to drive industrial growth through gas and solar

Ghanaian officials are advocating for strategic investments in energy infrastructure to transform the nation's natural resources into drivers of industrial growth.

At the International Solar Alliance Assembly, Energy and Green Transition Minister Dr. John Abdulai Jinapor emphasized that Ghana must move beyond merely installing solar panels. He argued that the country needs to build domestic industrial capacity to produce, assemble, and support solar technologies to ensure energy self-sufficiency and reduce dependence on imported equipment and fuels.

Simultaneously, Judith Adjobah Blay, CEO of the Ghana National Gas Company, is leading a delegation to the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC). Blay aims to attract international partnerships and investment to strengthen gas infrastructure. The goal is to improve the processing, transport, and delivery of natural gas to support power generation and manufacturing sectors.
