Ghana Sports Minister Kofi Adams Calls for Unified Management of National Teams
Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams criticised Ghana’s current practice of assigning separate Management Committees to each national team, calling the arrangement inefficient and a hindrance to long‑term sporting development. In an interview with Sporty FM he said the multiple committees place unnecessary pressure on the government and create avoidable administrative challenges.
Adams said he will push for a major reform that would replace the separate bodies with a single Management Committee overseeing all national teams. He argued that a unified structure would improve coordination, reduce administrative burdens and provide a more sustainable framework for the growth of Ghanaian football and other sports, while still recognising contributors through alternative means.
