Ghana Stock Exchange Gains Global Recognition as Government Courts Investors in London
President John Dramani Mahama announced that the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) has regained international recognition after strong performance in 2025, earning the honor of ringing the London Stock Exchange’s opening bell. He said the GSE was judged one of the best‑performing exchanges in Africa, trailing only South Africa, and highlighted recent listings such as First Atlantic Bank and Zen Petroleum, with Kasapreko preparing to list.
In London, Finance Minister Dr Johnson Asiama and Bank of Ghana Governor Dr Johnson Asiama presented Ghana’s reform agenda to global investors at a UK‑Ghana Investment Summit breakfast. They emphasized macro‑economic stability through debt restructuring, fiscal discipline and improved public‑financial management, and pointed to opportunities in agriculture, energy, infrastructure and digital innovation. The officials urged investors to view Ghana as a ready and stable destination for capital inflows.
