Ghana Tourism Development Company leads student tour of Togo and Benin

The Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC), in partnership with the University of Ghana Students’ Representative Council, took about 36 University of Ghana students on a three‑day, two‑night "Campus to Countries" tour of Togo and Benin. The initiative, led by GTDC Chief Executive Officer Professor Kobby Mensah, aims to give students practical experience of cross‑border travel, teach travel planning and border procedures, and foster regional integration. Students travelled by land, experiencing immigration and customs processes, and are expected to return on Sunday. Mensah said the programme will be extended to other tertiary institutions and senior high schools, while Vice SRC President Ebenezer Derrick Gyampo praised the partnership.
