Ghana Tourism Federation calls for stronger GTA-private sector ties

The Ghana Tourism Federation (GHATOF) has called for enhanced collaboration between the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and private-sector tourism associations. GHATOF President Seth Ocran stated that while effective regulation is necessary, it must be supported by continuous dialogue and partnership with businesses operating in the hospitality sector to create a more competitive and sustainable industry.

Marking World Tourism Day 2026, Ocran urged stakeholders to move away from isolated operations and toward collective action. He noted that collaboration could improve personnel development, national promotion, and the adoption of technology. Ocran emphasized that while technology is a factor, the industry's transformation relies heavily on people, partnerships, and a shared purpose.
