Ghana urged to reveal location of ex-MASLOC chief Sedina Attionu

Convener of the One Ghana Movement, Senyo Hosi, called on the Ghanaian government to disclose the whereabouts and custody status of former Microfinance and Small Loans Centre chief executive officer Sedina Attionu‑Tamakloe. The appeal follows reports that Attionu‑Tamakloe was extradited from the United States on 9 June 2026 to begin serving a 10‑year prison sentence for a conviction related to financial misconduct.

Hosi stressed that transparency in high‑profile accountability cases is essential for public confidence, warning that any perception of selective justice could erode trust in governance. He quoted, “They must take every step to prove to the people that accountability is being served. It doesn’t mean that she will be in jail forever,” and urged state institutions to act swiftly and openly.

The demand reflects broader concerns in Ghana over the handling of past corruption cases and the need for the government to demonstrate consistent enforcement of the law.
