Ghana Water to suspend Dodowa Booster Station for 24‑hour maintenance on July 9
Ghana Water Ltd announced that the Dodowa Booster Station will be shut down for 24 hours on Thursday, 9 July 2026 to carry out planned maintenance. The work aims to improve the operational efficiency, reliability and long‑term sustainability of the water supply system.
The outage will affect customers in East Legon, Adjiringanor, Ashaley Botwe, Madina, Adenta, Oyarifa, Frafraha, Agbogba, Haatso, Atomic, Ashongman, Dome, Dodowa and adjoining communities. Residents and businesses have been advised to store sufficient water in advance and to use the available supply sparingly during the shutdown. Ghana Water said engineers will complete the work within the scheduled period and restore normal service immediately afterwards, and the company apologized for any inconvenience.
