Ghanaian delegation showcases traditional smock at Lesotho tourism summit

A Ghanaian delegation from Kacstone Records and the Sister Kingdom Network presented a traditional Northern Ghanaian smock to Lesotho’s Minister for Tourism, Sports, Arts and Culture, Mputi Steven Mputi. The presentation took place during the Lesotho Tourism Pitso in Maseru, a two-day summit held from September 16 to 17 that gathered tourism and cultural stakeholders from across Africa.

The initiative aims to promote Ghana’s cultural heritage and strengthen tourism and cultural ties between African nations. During the summit, Kacstone Records Managing Director Wenawome Aborah Duriyem advocated for increased youth participation, cultural exchange, and cross-border collaboration to bolster African tourism.

In Maseru, Lesotho officials highlighted the country’s unique tourism ecosystem, including its mountainous landscape and adventure tourism opportunities, while expressing openness to foreign investment in the sector.
