Ghanaian doctors trained in Cuba thank Okyehene for support

Forty Ghanaian doctors who recently completed medical training in Cuba paid a courtesy call on the Okyehene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin, to express gratitude for his financial support and encouragement. The scholarships that enabled their studies were facilitated by Dr. Kingsley Agyemang, the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South.

During the visit to the Okyeman Palace on October 30, 2026, the doctors presented the traditional ruler with a citation of honour to recognize his role in their professional development. The doctors pledged to use their acquired skills to improve healthcare delivery and serve Ghana with dedication.

In response, the Okyehene congratulated the group and urged them to uphold high standards of professionalism, integrity, and compassion in their medical practice.
