Ghanaian financial institutions host seminars to boost investment and inclusion
Financial leaders in Ghana are engaging in strategic initiatives to expand financial services and strengthen international trade links. Advans Group and the Bank of Ghana (BoG) recently met to discuss expanding financial inclusion and strengthening the financial services sector. The discussions focused on regulatory priorities, the role of savings and loans institutions in improving access to finance, and the implications of the BoG’s liquidity framework for regulated institutions.
Separately, GCB Bank hosted the Afro-Asia Investor Seminar, themed ‘Bridging Markets, Building Futures.’ The event aimed to connect Asian businesses with investment opportunities in Ghana, specifically within the mining, manufacturing, agribusiness, infrastructure, and pharmaceutical sectors. Representatives from the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA) and the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) provided guidance on market-entry requirements, regulatory frameworks, and available incentives for foreign investors.
