Ghanaian footballer Efya Agartha found dead in Ashanti Region

Efya Agartha, a 23-year-old centre-back for Fabulous Ladies FC, has been found dead in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region. Known by the nickname ‘One Cedi’, Agartha was a prominent figure in her community, where she also worked as a Pragya tricycle driver.

The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation into the death and confirmed that two suspects have been arrested in Techiman. While authorities have not yet disclosed the identities of the suspects or the specific nature of their involvement, the exact cause of death remains unestablished.

There have been conflicting reports regarding the precise location of the discovery, with accounts citing either Adum Afrancho or Sokoban Aboabo. Additionally, while some unverified local reports suggested disturbing circumstances regarding the condition of the body, these claims have not been officially confirmed by the police.
