Ghanaian leaders address political accountability and agricultural policy

In Ghana, political figures are addressing the performance and future of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration. Former Food and Agriculture Minister Bryan Acheampong warned that the ruling NDC will eventually face intense public scrutiny as the initial goodwill of President John Mahama’s government fades. Meanwhile, Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang has pledged to revitalize the agricultural sector in the Bono East Region. Speaking at the Meko Bono Homecoming and Festival in Atebubu, she emphasized the government’s commitment to the ‘Feed Ghana’ initiative. The program aims to boost productivity and minimize post-harvest losses to improve livelihoods for the region’s farming communities.
