Ghanaian Members of Parliament launch community support initiatives
Two Members of Parliament in Ghana have implemented targeted support programs for their constituents.
In Akim Swedru, MP Kennedy Osei Nyarko provided financial and vocational assistance to 145 individuals. The group included 50 petty traders receiving business support, 60 prospective apprentices, and 35 recent graduates who were provided with tools and equipment to begin their trades.
In the Ahafo Region, Asutifi North MP Ebenezer Kwaku Addo sponsored free surgical procedures for 130 people at the Asutifi North District Hospital. The medical intervention addressed conditions including hernia, hydrocele, breast lumps, and lipoma, utilizing funds from the MP's National Health Insurance allocation to reduce financial barriers to healthcare.
