Ghanaian Members of Parliament provide financial aid to students
Several Members of Parliament in Ghana have launched initiatives to provide financial and material support to students.
Yussif Jajah, the MP for Ayawaso North and Deputy Minister for Tourism, has committed GH¢250,000 to assist 72 tertiary students within his constituency. Each beneficiary is set to receive at least GH¢3,000 to help mitigate the costs of higher education and reduce the financial burden on families.
In Abuakwa South, MP Dr. Kingsley Agyemang has provided a laptop and undisclosed financial assistance to Awuah Seth Seyram. Seyram, a former participant in the Kingsley Science and Maths Quiz, has gained admission to the University of Ghana Medical School. Dr. Agyemang has pledged to continue supporting the student throughout his medical studies.
