Ghanaian MPs provide school supplies to students in Jomoro and Yendi

Members of Parliament in Ghana have launched initiatives to provide educational resources to students in their respective constituencies.

In the Jomoro Constituency, MP Dorcas Affo-Toffey conducted a supplementary distribution of school supplies to over 300 students. The items provided include mattresses, trunks, chop boxes, exercise books, and sanitary pads. This mop-up exercise follows an earlier distribution that benefited 1,000 students, bringing the total number of supported students under this initiative to more than 1,300.

In the Yendi Constituency, MP Alhassan Abdul Fatawu presented mattresses and chop boxes to 150 Senior High School (SHS) 1 students. The initiative aims to alleviate the financial pressure on families during the transition to secondary education. Fatawu’s broader educational efforts in the region include previous distributions of mathematics sets to BECE candidates and scholarship programs.
