Ghanaian musicians expand international reach with US and UK performances

Ghanaian musicians are expanding their international presence through successful tours and sold-out performances in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Music duo R2Bees recently completed performances in Washington, DC, and Ohio as part of an international tour. Their Ohio show, originally scheduled for June, was rescheduled to August 15. The duo is set to continue their tour in the United Kingdom, with a performance scheduled at London’s Outernet on September 11, 2026.

In the United Kingdom, Ghanaian artists are increasingly filling major venues. Stonebwoy achieved a milestone on August 15, 2026, by becoming the first Ghanaian artist to headline a sold-out concert at the 12,500-capacity OVO Arena Wembley. Other notable artists with successful UK headline performances include Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Medikal, KiDi, and Kuami Eugene, many of whom have performed at venues such as indigo at The O2 and Electric Brixton.
