Ghanaian political leaders vie for youth organizer roles

Political figures within Ghana's major parties are positioning themselves for leadership roles. Abanga Fuseini Yakubu has been elected as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Youth Organiser. Reflecting on his victory, Yakubu attributed his success to consistency and hard work following several previous setbacks, including a narrow loss in the 2019 parliamentary primaries in Aowin and a prior unsuccessful bid for the youth organiser position.

In the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Okai Mintah is campaigning for the position of National Youth Organiser. Mintah has pledged to upgrade and better fund the party's mobilization structures, aiming to strengthen the campaign machinery used during the 2024 elections to prepare for the 2028 general elections.
