Ghana's FWSC eulogizes late CLOGSAG leader Dr. Isaac Bampoe Addo

The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) has issued a tribute to Dr. Isaac Bampoe Addo, the Executive Secretary of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG), following his death on August 21, 2026.

FWSC Chief Executive Dr. George Smith-Graham described the late leader as a “formidable voice” in Ghana’s labour relations landscape and a dedicated advocate for workers' welfare. Smith-Graham noted that while the FWSC and CLOGSAG occasionally occupied opposing sides during negotiations, Dr. Bampoe Addo always maintained mutual respect and prioritized social dialogue.

Dr. Bampoe Addo was recently involved in stakeholder discussions regarding the establishment of the Independent Public Emoluments Commission (IPEC). The FWSC highlighted his contributions to the emerging IPEC framework, stating his influence would remain a significant part of Ghana’s national process regarding public-sector compensation.
