Egypt prepares for nationwide 2026 high school examinations
Egypt's Ministry of Education, led by Minister Mohamed Abdel‑Latif, is overseeing the 2026 high‑school examinations from a central operations centre, ensuring timely delivery of exam papers and a suitable environment for students. The exams will run from 21 June to 16 July 2026 in 613 exam centres comprising 2,032 committees, with about 921,709 candidates across the old and new systems.
In the Dakahlia governorate, Governor Tarek Marzouk confirmed that all logistical and security measures are in place, including medical services, electricity backups, water supply, and strict anti‑cheating controls. Similar preparations are underway across other governorates.
In Sharqia, education officials are finalising the results for the 2026 basic education certificate, which involved 147,714 students in 845 committees. The results will be posted online shortly after verification.
