Ghaziabad bag factory fire breaks out in Tronica City
A massive fire broke out late Friday night at the R&R Inc. Corporation bag manufacturing factory located in the Tronica City industrial area of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The blaze, which reportedly may have been caused by a short circuit, spread rapidly due to the presence of plastic and other materials used in bag production.
Firefighting teams faced significant challenges because the factory was fully enclosed, making it difficult to direct water inside. To combat the intense flames and thick black smoke, fire crews had to break through a rear wall to gain access. Approximately 12 fire tenders and water tankers, including units from Sahibabad, Vaishali, Ghantaghar, and Noida, were deployed to the scene.
Chief Fire Officer Rahul Pal confirmed that after breaking the wall, crews worked to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring factories. Following the containment of the main blaze, cooling operations and debris removal using a JCB were conducted to ensure the area was safe.
