Ghaziabad Fire Department Rescues Man Trapped in Swampy Drain

On 7 August, fire‑and‑rescue personnel from the Kotwali fire station in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, responded to a call that a man was stuck in a deep, muddy drain in the I‑Block of Shastri Nagar. The team dispatched a First Quick Response Vehicle and a fire tender from the nearby Kavinagar station, inspected the site, and used protective equipment and rescue techniques to reach the victim.

The 47‑year‑old man, identified as Gaurav, was extracted safely and taken to the District Combined Hospital in Sanjaynagar for initial medical care. Officials highlighted that prompt reporting and the rapid deployment of trained firefighters averted a potentially fatal incident.
