Ghaziabad teenager shot dead by security guard during video recording
A 17-year-old boy named Sameer died after being shot by a security guard while filming a video at a construction site in Ghaziabad, India. The incident occurred at the Parshvnath building in the Sahibabad area.
According to reports, Sameer entered the premises with two friends to record content for social media. A security guard, identified as Vivek Yadav, intercepted the group. The guard claimed he suspected the youths were attempting to steal construction materials, leading him to use a single-shot shotgun that struck Sameer in the abdomen.
While the guard maintains he acted on suspicion of theft, Sameer’s family asserts the teenager was only there to film a video. The family also alleged that the victim was cornered and assaulted by the guard and others before the shooting occurred.
Sameer was rushed to MMG Hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have detained Vivek Yadav and seized the weapon used. An investigation is ongoing, involving the review of security camera footage and witness testimonies to clarify the circumstances leading to the fatal shot.
