Ghibli Park to host Autumn Dondoko Festival in October

Ghibli Park has announced the return of its ‘Autumn Dondoko Festival,’ scheduled to run from October 30 to November 22 at Ghibli Park and Aichi Expo Memorial Park in Nagakute, Aichi Prefecture.

Key highlights include an outdoor screening and concert on November 1, featuring a performance by Tokiko Kato followed by a screening of the 1992 film ‘Porco Rosso.’ A new event for children, a nighttime movie screening of the original short animation ‘Night in the Valley of Witches,’ will take place on October 31.

Other festivities include twilight extended hours for the Witch Valley and Mononoke Village areas starting October 30, featuring illuminations and light-ups. Additionally, the park will host a special radio broadcast day with ZIP-FM on October 30 and background art workshops led by Studio Ghibli art directors on November 7 and 8.
