Ghost live film ‘2 BIG TO RIG’ to hold theatrical screenings in Japan

The band Ghost is bringing its latest live film, ‘2 BIG TO RIG’, to theaters across Japan. The film captures a two-night, sold-out performance at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, which drew approximately 40,000 fans.

Screenings are scheduled for September 10 in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka, followed by a nationwide release on September 23 across 26 theaters. For the September 10 and September 23 screenings, attendees will receive a paper mask modeled after the character ‘Papa V Perpetua’ as a gift.

A special event will take place at Shinjuku Wald 9 on September 23, featuring a talk session with Mirai Kawashima of the band SIGH and music critic Tomoyuki Yamazaki. The discussion will explore the world of Ghost and the historical background of black and death metal. Additionally, special merchandise will be available for sale at the T-Joy PRINCE Shinagawa location on September 10.
