Ghost of Yōtei reportedly sells 5.4 million copies

Market analyst Rhys Elliott of Alinea Analytics reports that the Sony title Ghost of Yōtei has sold approximately 5.4 million copies since its release in October 2025. The game has generated an estimated $407 million in revenue.

While the sales volume is lower than its predecessor, Ghost of Tsushima, which sold nearly 7 million copies in a similar timeframe, the revenue gap is narrower. Ghost of Tsushima earned $418 million in its equivalent period. This revenue parity is attributed to Ghost of Yōtei’s higher base price of $70, compared to $60 for the original, and a strategy of offering fewer discounts.

Additional data indicates that 500,000 copies were sold in the third quarter of this year. Furthermore, the Complete Edition upgrade, priced at $15, has been purchased by nearly 50,000 players, contributing over $2 million to total revenue. Player engagement remains notable, with daily active users averaging around 150,000 recently and peaking at 327,000 during the launch of the 'Echoes of Sekigahara' expansion.
