Gia Lai border communities foster friendship and stability

In Gia Lai province, residents of Triêl village, including families who fled the Pol Pot genocide from Cambodia nearly 50 years ago, have integrated into Vietnamese society. These individuals, such as village elder Rơ Mah Blơih, now hold Vietnamese citizenship and have established livelihoods through coffee farming.

The community views the border region as a place of stability and mutual development, fostering strong ties between the local government and the people living along the 80 km border shared with Cambodia's Ratanakiri, Stung Treng, and Preah Vihear provinces.
