Gia Lai experiences flooding and fatal drowning incidents

Gia Lai province has experienced severe weather and accidents following heavy rainfall. In Thong Nhat Ward, intense rain on September 2 and early September 3 caused localized flooding, with water levels reaching depths of over 1 meter in some areas. Authorities mobilized more than 100 personnel to assist residents in evacuating and moving property to safety.

Separately, in Bong Son Ward, two men died after going fishing on the Lai Giang River on the night of September 1. Following a search operation involving local police and fire rescue teams, the bodies of the two victims, identified as Mr. D. X. K. (born 1985) and Mr. T. X. T. (born 1993), were recovered on September 3.
