Gia Lai food poisoning: 248 people affected by suspected contaminated bread

The Gia Lai Department of Health reported 98 additional cases of suspected food poisoning, bringing the total number of affected individuals to 248. The victims reportedly consumed mixed bread from the Bin Bin business household located in An Khe, Gia Lai province.

Symptoms reported by those affected include abdominal cramps, diarrhea, vomiting, and fever. As of August 28, 56 people had stabilized and been discharged from the hospital, while the remaining patients continue to receive monitoring and treatment at the An Khe Medical Center. Most patients are reported to be in stable condition without severe complications.

The suspected incident occurred between the evening of August 23 and the afternoon of August 24. Authorities are currently conducting tests on food and clinical samples to determine the exact cause of the poisoning.
