Gia Lai official honors family of teacher who donated organs

Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, has issued a letter of condolence and gratitude to the family of Pham Thi Anh Thu, a 22-year-old English teacher from Dak Po commune.

Following a fatal traffic accident on National Highway 19, Ms. Thu's family made the decision to donate her organs to medical science. The donation, which included her liver and kidneys, was performed by specialists from central hospitals and Hung Vuong Gia Lai Hospital.

The provincial chairman described the family's decision as a profound humanitarian gesture that provides hope and a chance at life for other patients. This event marks the first milestone for organ donation activities within Gia Lai province, serving to spread a message of compassion throughout the community.
