Ngọc Rambo prosecuted for organizing illegal gambling ring

Bac Ninh City Police have prosecuted Lê Thanh Ngọc, a social media personality known as “Ngọc Rambo,” along with five accomplices for organizing and participating in illegal gambling.

Investigations revealed that in September 2026, the group operated an illegal lottery and numbers betting ring involving transactions totaling nearly 200 million VND. The operation spanned between Bac Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City. Authorities seized eight mobile phones, two laptops, and various documents related to the cyber-based gambling activities.

Lê Thanh Ngọc has a prior criminal record for “unlawful detention” and two previous administrative violations involving the dissemination of false information, incitement of violence, and social evils on social media. Police are continuing to expand the investigation to clarify the roles of all involved parties.
