Gia Lai police assist four Vietnamese citizens repatriated from Thailand

Gia Lai provincial police, in coordination with relevant authorities, have successfully assisted four ethnic minority citizens in returning to Vietnam from Thailand. The individuals had previously been detained at the Immigration Detention Center (IDC) due to their illegal status in the country.

The returnees, including Ksor Thong, Rah Lan Hanh, Ksor Tuich, and Ro Mah Alung, had traveled abroad through illegal routes in pursuit of better economic opportunities. In one instance, Ksor Thong was reportedly lured by individuals on social media with promises of high wages and eventual settlement in the United States. After paying 40 million VND to intermediaries, he found himself performing unstable seasonal labor in Thailand without legal documentation, eventually leading to his arrest.

Authorities have issued warnings to citizens regarding the risks of believing online recruitment and migration offers. They advise individuals to verify information through official government agencies and competent units, and to avoid handing over money or personal documents to unidentified brokers.
