Gia Lai police escort victim with severed arm to hospital
On the evening of 30 July, a team of the Gia Lai provincial traffic police (CSGT) received a distress signal from driver Nguyễn Đình Đảm on National Highway 1D. The team cleared traffic with a special‑purpose vehicle and, under the direction of senior sergeant Đào Duy Quý, used a motorbike to lead an ambulance more than 10 km to the Gia Lai Central Multispecialty Hospital.
The patient, a 48‑year‑old laborer identified as Nguyễn Ngọc Toàn, suffered a severe arm amputation after a rope‑harvester accident, losing a large amount of blood. Prompt medical treatment at the hospital stabilised his condition and he survived the critical stage. The incident highlights the coordinated emergency response of local police and medical services in Gia Lai, Vietnam.
