Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway land clearance accelerates

Efforts are intensifying to complete land clearance for the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section of the North-South West Expressway, a key national project. While the communes of Nha Bich, Bu Dang, and Phuoc Son have completed land handover, other localities are working to resolve difficulties regarding compensation, support, and resettlement.

The expressway spans 124.13 km, with over 101 km passing through Dong Nai. The project requires the recovery of more than 1,200 hectares of land, of which Dong Nai accounts for approximately 921 hectares, or nearly 76% of the total area.

In Binh Phuoc Ward, which has a 13.8 km stretch of the route, authorities are managing the recovery of over 131 hectares involving 927 plots. Local officials have approved compensation and resettlement plans for 858 eligible plots, totaling nearly 124 hectares, with a total compensation budget of approximately 909.8 billion VND.
