Giada De Laurentiis reveals toe injury ahead of Dancing With the Stars premiere

Celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis has revealed a significant toe injury just days before the premiere of Season 35 of ‘Dancing With the Stars’. In a video shared on Instagram, the 56-year-old Food Network star showed a heavily bruised and purple middle toe on her right foot, noting that she believes she will lose the toenail due to the extent of the damage.

De Laurentiis, who is partnered with professional dancer Alan Bersten, expressed a resigned attitude toward the setback, describing it as ‘part of the game’. She decided to join the competition after several years of invitations, citing her new status as an ‘empty nester’ following her daughter Jade’s departure for college as motivation to pursue a new adventure.

The new season is scheduled to premiere next Tuesday on ABC.
