Gian Maria Volonté Cinematic Arts School announces film premieres and new scholarships
The Gian Maria Volonté Cinematic Arts School has announced two student short films for world premiere at the Alice nella città 2026 festival. The films, “Latte” directed by Filippo Marasco and “L’ura du giudizziu” by Costanza Fusco, will be screened at Rome’s Teatro Sistina as part of the Onde Corte section.
“Latte” is an horror-themed story told through the perspective of a child attempting to understand adult behaviors, while “L’ura du giudizziu” is a reimagining of a Sicilian folk tale exploring themes of poverty, guilt, and memory.
Additionally, the school has opened applications for its 2026–2029 three-year program. The initiative offers 84 free placements across eleven professional disciplines, including acting, directing, screenwriting, and sound design. To qualify, applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old, residents of the Lazio region, and registered as unemployed or inactive. The application deadline is October 15, 2026.
