Gianfranco Curti named Piacentino dell’Anno 2026

Entrepreneur Gianfranco Curti, founder of the CGI Group, has been awarded the ‘Piacentino dell’Anno 2026’ (Piacenza Person of the Year 2026) award. The honor was presented during the closing ceremony of the 16th edition of the Bobbio Literature Week at the Philippe Daverio Auditorium.

The award recognizes individuals who contribute to the prestige and value of the Piacenza territory through professional, cultural, and social commitment. Curti was specifically honored for his entrepreneurial vision, the growth of his company, and his significant support for local sports.

A key highlight of the recognition was his leadership of the Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza club. Under the guidance of Curti and his family, the team became a prominent force in national and European volleyball, notably winning the CEV Volleyball Cup in April 2026. The Mayor of Bobbio, Roberto Pasquali, attended the ceremony and noted Curti’s role in supporting the local community and the volleyball sector.
