Gianluca Lapadula's goal for Universitario draws Serie A attention

Gianluca Lapadula, the Italo-Peruvian striker for Universitario de Deportes, has drawn international attention following his performance in the Torneo Clausura. During a match against Sporting Cristal at the Estadio Monumental, Lapadula scored a goal, though the game ultimately ended in a 1-1 draw after Yoshimar Yotún equalized from a penalty kick.

Lapadula's performance caught the attention of Italy's Serie A, which highlighted the player on social media by asking, "¿Se escucha, crema?" (Can you hear it, crema?). The Italian league's post included images from Lapadula's previous career in Italy, where he played for clubs including AC Milan and Genoa.

Lapadula has scored two goals in four official matches since joining Universitario. He expressed disappointment over the draw against Sporting Cristal, stating, "I think we played a better game. Especially in the second half, I think the draw is a bit unfair, but that is football."
