Gianluca Trezza appointed CEO of Tekne SpA

Nuburu, a dual-use defense and security company, has announced the appointment of Gianluca Trezza as the Chief Executive Officer of Tekne SpA. Tekne is an Italian operator specializing in defense engineering and the production of military vehicles.

The appointment is part of a revitalization strategy following Nuburu's acquisition of a 70% stake in the company. The move aims to leverage Tekne's engineering and technological expertise to strengthen its industrial position within the Group's integrated defense and security platform.

Trezza brings extensive international experience in the defense sector, having previously held leadership roles at ELT Group, Northrop Grumman, and WSENSE, following service in the Guardia di Finanza. His appointment, effective October 26, 2026, includes powers as General Manager. He will work alongside General Pietro Serino, the former Chief of Staff of the Italian Army, who has been designated as President, pending regulatory approvals from authorities such as ANAC.
