Gianluigi Donnarumma has spoken out following Italy’s elimination from the World Cup playoffs against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The 27-year-old goalkeeper, who previously won the European Championship with Italy in 2021, expressed his emotional reaction to the national team's failure to qualify for the tournament for the third consecutive time.

Professionally, Donnarumma has seen significant financial growth over the last decade. Since joining Manchester City in September 2025, he has earned a net annual salary of 12 million euros.
