Gianmarco Tognazzi honors Beatles with tribute shows at Italy's EMD and Dionisio festivals

Actor Gianmarco Tognazzi performed a Beatles‑focused tribute, portraying Paul McCartney and narrating the band's history, at Villa Scarsella during the 15th edition of the EMD Festival in Diano Marina. He was accompanied by the small Orchestra Saverio Mercadante and, at the close of the evening, received the "Premio Città di Diano Marina" from Mayor Cristiano Za Garibaldi.

On 8 August, Tognazzi staged the same "Paul McCartney e i Beatles" program in Chiavari’s Piazza Nostra Signora dell’Orto as part of the seventh Dionisio Festival. The free public event featured the Trio Saverio Mercadante, with texts by Rosa Sanrocco, and was organized by the municipality’s cultural department under artistic direction Davide Paganini. Both performances attracted strong audience interest and highlighted the enduring appeal of the Beatles in Italy.
