Gianni Alemanno defends Orvieto '26 forum amid political protests

Gianni Alemanno, the former mayor of Rome and promoter of the Orvieto '26 forum, has addressed the controversy surrounding the upcoming event. The forum, titled “Forum of Italian Independence” and organized under the aegis of Futuro Nazionale, is scheduled to take place in Orvieto from September 18 to 20.

Alemanno reported that certain associations, specifically Anpi and Articolo 21, are calling for anti-fascist mobilization to prevent the event from occurring. He noted that criticisms have also targeted Roberto Vannacci, mentioning that flyers distributed recently have characterized Alemanno as “the General’s attendant.” Despite these protests, Alemanno confirmed that the program will proceed as planned to promote their ideas.
