FIFA President Gianni Infantino has confirmed his intention to seek re-election for a fourth term during the presidential vote scheduled for March 18, 2027, in Rabat, Morocco. This announcement follows a period of significant political tension within the football governing body.

Infantino’s leadership has faced intense scrutiny following the proposed FIFA Forward Enterprise plan, which aimed to allow private investors to purchase a 20 percent stake in commercial rights for major tournaments, including the World Cup.
