Gianni Infantino faces mounting opposition to FIFA Forward Enterprise FAST-MOVING
FIFA President Gianni Infantino promoted the FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE) plan, a commercial structure that would transfer most of FIFA’s commercial assets to a new company while offering each of the 211 member associations a stake worth about $20 million. The proposal also promised Infantino a salary of roughly €30 million ($34 million) per year as chief executive of the new entity.

Opposition quickly grew: 143 of FIFA’s 211 member nations officially rejected the proposal, and the Football Association of Wales withdrew its support for Infantino’s re‑election, becoming the first national association to do so. Facing this broad resistance, FIFA withdrew the Forward Enterprise project, intensifying speculation about Infantino’s future leadership of world football.
