Gianni Zanasi returns with choral comedy ‘È andata così’

Gianni Zanasi’s new film, ‘È andata così’, is a choral comedy that blends dramatic elements with slapstick traditions. Set in a large, dilapidated house in the Umbrian countryside, the story explores the chaos and tenderness of an extended family navigating shifting relationships and emotional transformations.

The film opens with a jarring, noir-like sequence involving a suicide attempt by a character named Elisa, which quickly transitions into a more conventional comedic structure focused on gender dynamics and interpersonal connections.
