Giannis Antetokounmpo encounters iguana at new Miami home

Giannis Antetokounmpo experienced an unexpected welcome to Miami after an iguana entered the backyard of his newly acquired mansion. The Miami Heat star remained inside the residence with his family, observing the reptile from a distance rather than attempting to remove it himself.

During the encounter, Antetokounmpo jokingly directed his children to handle the situation, telling them, “You go get it, I’m scared.” He was also heard telling the animal, “Get out of my backyard,” while inquiring about contacting an exterminator.

Tim Hardaway Jr. reacted to the incident on social media, commenting, “Official welcome brotha lol,” acknowledging the common occurrence of wildlife encounters in South Florida. The incident serves as a lighthearted introduction to Antetokounmpo’s transition to life and basketball in Miami.
