Giannis Antetokounmpo traded to Miami Heat

The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to trade franchise icon Giannis Antetokounmpo and forward Bobby Portis to the Miami Heat. In return, the Bucks will receive guard Tyler Herro, rookie forward Kel’el Ware, forward Jaime Jaquez Jr., forward Kasparas Jakucionis, three first‑round draft picks (2026, 2031, 2033, including the No. 13 slot), a pick‑swap right and a second‑round pick. The deal, expected to be finalized in the first week of July, ends Antetokounmpo’s 13‑year tenure with Milwaukee, during which he led the team to its 2021 NBA championship, earned two regular‑season MVPs, a Finals MVP and set franchise records for points, rebounds, assists, blocks and minutes. The move gives Miami a new “Greek Freak” to pair with Bam Adebayo as the Heat aim to return to title contention, while the Bucks look to rebuild with the acquired young talent and future assets.
