Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumors intensify ahead of NBA draft

NBA insiders report that the Milwaukee Bucks are increasingly likely to trade two‑time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo before the June 23 draft. Sources say the league expects the Bucks to seek at least one additional first‑round pick and to wait until after the NBA Finals before finalising any deal.

The Miami Heat are viewed as the leading suitor, with Giannis reportedly favoring to stay in the Eastern Conference. Other potential destinations mentioned include the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers, which could serve as a third party in a multi‑team package. Bucks co‑owner Jimmy Haslam has expressed hope that a decision will be made before the draft, and the organization appears to be operating as if it will control an extra first‑rounder in the upcoming 2026 draft class.
