Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumors spark league-wide interest

The Milwaukee Bucks have indicated they are open to trade discussions for Giannis Antetokounmpo this offseason, prompting a flurry of interest across the NBA. The Minnesota Timberwolves, long linked to the superstar, are actively pursuing a deal that would likely require a massive package of young talent and draft picks. Other franchises, including the Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors, have also been mentioned as potential suitors.

According to an insider update, the Warriors' chances have faded, with ESPN’s Anthony Slater stating, "I think [the Warriors] are not 1st in line, not 2nd, or 3rd in line really at this point as far as packages that appeal most to Milwaukee [for Giannis]." The Bucks, still recovering from a season that missed the playoffs for the first time since 2016, are expected to demand a package that could involve a future star player, numerous draft selections, or a combination of both. Owner Jimmy Haslam has said a decision on Giannis' future should be clarified before the upcoming NBA Draft.
