Giannis Dragasakis advocates for progressive political convergence in Greece

Giannis Dragasakis, an independent Member of Parliament and former SYRIZA deputy prime minister, has expressed support for cooperation among progressive forces in Greece. Speaking in an interview with the website libre, Dragasakis noted that there are common grounds not only between the Greek Left Coalition, led by Alexis Tsipras, and PASOK, but also among smaller parties positioned to the left of the center.

Dragasakis emphasized that progressive forces must set aside differences and move beyond subjective views to create a climate of dialogue. He argued that establishing a roadmap is essential to finding a democratic exit from the current multi-crisis. He warned that without such cooperation, there is a risk that the entire political space could lose its value, noting that while individual left-wing parties may propose correct ideas, no single party can implement them effectively without collaboration.
